3.1 Data you provide
Profile & identity: name, title/designation, organisation, department, country, state/city, professional registration/license numbers (where needed for certification), date of birth (for age verification/certificates where required).
Contact: email, phone/WhatsApp, mailing address (optional).
Account: username, password (hashed), preferences, learning interests.
Professional & education: qualifications, years of experience, specialty/role, CV/resume (if you apply for internships or mentoring).
Course & webinar submissions: assignments, quiz responses, feedback forms, polls, Q&A, chat messages, and uploaded files.
Support requests: issue descriptions and related attachments.
Marketing: newsletter opt-ins, event registrations, referral details.
3.2 Data we collect automatically
Usage & device: IP address, device and browser type, OS version, pages visited, time on page, referring/exit pages, unique identifiers (cookies), approximate location derived from IP, crash/diagnostic logs.
Learning analytics: course progress, modules viewed, time spent, quiz scores, certificates earned, badges, and completion status.
Media analytics: video play events (start, pause, completion), webinar attendance duration, chat engagement.
3.3 Data from third parties
Marketing & ads (Meta): Meta Ads & Business Tools (e.g., Meta Pixel/Conversions API) may receive website event data for ad measurement and attribution, subject to your consent where required.
Payment processor: Razorpay provides payment status, masked card/bank details, and transaction IDs (no full card numbers are stored by us).
Email marketing: Mailchimp provides subscription status and campaign analytics.
LMS & webinars: Thinkific (course/LMS activity) and Zoom (attendance duration, join/leave time, poll results).

6. Payments
Payments are processed by Razorpay. We receive confirmation of payment status and transaction IDs but do not store full card or net‑banking credentials on our servers. Please review Razorpay’s privacy policy for more details.
7. Webinars, video, and recordings
For live or recorded sessions hosted via Zoom (and, where applicable, YouTube/Google Meet):
attendee names, email IDs, chat messages, poll responses, and questions may be visible to hosts and, in some formats, to other attendees;
sessions may be recorded for learning/quality purposes;
we’ll indicate recording status and purpose;
you may choose an alias or keep your camera/mic off unless participation is required for certification.
8. Children’s data
Our Services are intended for individuals 18 years and older or the age of majority in your jurisdiction. If we learn we’ve collected data from a minor without lawful consent/guardian permission, we will delete it.
9. Sharing your data
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:
Ads & analytics (Meta): Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Ads & Business Tools to measure ad performance and conversions using event data captured on our site (via Meta Pixel/Conversions API), subject to consent where required.
Service providers/processors: hosting (e.g., cloud hosting), Thinkific (LMS), Zoom (webinars), Mailchimp (email), and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics/Tag Manager).
Payment processor: Razorpay for transactions and refunds.
Accrediting/partner bodies: to verify participation/eligibility and issue certificates where programs are co‑branded.
Legal & compliance: regulators, courts, or law enforcement when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
Business transfers: in a merger, acquisition, or reorganisation, subject to safeguards.
All processors are bound by contractual obligations to protect your data and process it only on our instructions.
10. International data transfers
We may process and store data in countries other than yours. Where required, we implement appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses for EEA/UK) and ensure recipients provide adequate protection.
11. Data retention
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes above, including:
Accounts & learning records: for the life of your account and a reasonable period after closure for reporting/certificate re‑issuance (typically up to 7 years unless law requires longer/shorter).
Payments & invoices: as required by tax/accounting laws (commonly 8 years in India).
Support tickets: up to 3 years after closure.
Marketing opt‑in records: as long as you remain subscribed.
We will delete or anonymise data when no longer needed.
12. Your rights
You may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict/object, port, and withdraw consent regarding your personal data. To exercise these rights, email [email protected] with the subject “Data Request – SkillsforMed”. We will verify your identity before acting on requests.

You may contact our Grievance Officer (details in Section 1) for requests or complaints. If unresolved, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India once constituted.

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the risk, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), least‑privilege access, MFA for admin panels, regular backups, and vendor due diligence. No system is 100% secure, but we work to prevent unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of data.
14. Cookies & consent
We use a small number of essential cookies to run our site (e.g., to keep you logged in) and may use optional cookies/scripts (such as Meta Pixel) for advertising measurement only after your consent, where required by law.
